WCAG Accessibility
Associated Healthcare Credit Union Is committed to providing a fully accessible and optimized user experience for all site visitors.
We Value Digital Inclusion
In our effort to provide a fully accessible and optimized user experience for all site visitors, Associated Healthcare Credit Union has taken careful measure to ensure an excellent user experience, regardless of the assistive technology being used to access this site or the specific abilities of those individuals seeking access to this site.
The Associated Healthcare Credit Union website is monitored and tested regularly by internal resources and by third-party providers of Web Accessibility testing and monitoring. We want everyone who visits the AHCU website to feel welcome and find website browsing a rewarding experience.
We’ve been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 to help guide us in making web content more accessible for people with disabilities, those who use assistive technology, and to make the web more user friendly for everyone.
These guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA), and we’ve chosen Level AA as the target for our website. We regularly test our website using a variety of assistive technologies.
We recommend using the following web browser / screen reader combinations for an optimized experience:
- For Windows users: JAWS and Microsoft Edge or NVDA and Firefox
- For Mac users: VoiceOver and Safari or VoiceOver and Chrome
- For mobile users: VoiceOver for the iPhone and TalkBack for Android devices
PDF Documents
People using screen-reading devices are generally unable to read documents directly in PDF format unless they have an accessibility plug-in installed along with Acrobat Reader. The accessibility plug-in is available at no charge from Adobe. Adobe offers online tools that will convert PDF files to HTML on request. To get the plugin and latest news about Adobe’s accessibility tools and services, visit the Access Adobe site.
Embedded Streaming Media
The videos on our website support closed captions and/or subtitles when relevant to the streaming content. Activating streaming media can make it more accessible by supplying a text alternative to spoken language
Popular streaming service YouTube supports browsing with a screen reader with minimal setup.
Third Party Websites
We also make use of various 3rd party websites such as Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook to spread news and information about Associated Healthcare Credit Union products and services. These sites, which are not controlled by Associated Healthcare Credit Union, may present challenges for individuals with disabilities that we are not able to control or remedy. Please know that these sites are not used as the sole source of (or sole vehicle for communicating) important information.
As made publicly available, here are the Accessibility Information pages provided from these third-party sites:
Third-Party Plug-Ins
The following third-party plugins and integrations are not fully accessible and rely on third-party code. There may be elements that do not fully conform to WCAG Level AA guidelines. Third-party vendors include:
