Congratulations on Your Vehicle Purchase

Your new vehicle loan is financed with Associated Healthcare Credit Union. AHCU is a not-for-profit financial cooperative and as such, everyone who has an account or loan is considered to be a member and part-owner of the Credit Union.

Here are your Vehicle Insurance Requirements

Your new vehicle loan is financed with Associated Healthcare Credit Union (AHCU).

Established in 1953 by healthcare employees, we are a credit union dedicated to providing financial services specifically to those in the healthcare industry.

Please update your vehicle insurance information.

As part of your loan package, your vehicle insurance policy must include the following:

  • Under LIEN HOLDER/LOSS PAYEE, please list as:
      Associated Healthcare Credit Union
  • COMPREHENSIVE and COLLISION coverage on vehicles with deductibles up to $1,000.
  • Collateral description on insurance and loan documents must match.
  • Policy Number, Policy Period, and Company Name MUST be listed.

How will you provide us a copy of your vehicle insurance declaration page showing us listed as the 1st Secured Party?

Choose an option:

  • Option 1. Update your insurance information through our insurance portal.
  • Option 2. Have the Insurance Agent email your vehicle insurance declaration page to: filoservice@ahcu.org.
  • Option 3. Email a picture / scan of your declaration page with us listed as 1st Secured Party as email to: filoservice@ahcu.org.
  • Option 4. Send a copy of your insurance policy to us listed through the mail:
AHCU P.O. Box 924669, Fort Worth, Texas 76124

Should you fail to maintain the required insurance throughout the life of the loan, the lender may (but shall not be required to and without prejudice to its rights if it does not) purchase a policy for its own protection and pass the cost of the policy on to you, the borrower. We may also at our discretion access an administration fee to purchase protection and add these items to your loan. This may increase the payment amount of your loan.

Ways to Pay

There are several loan payment options available to you.

Option 1: Set up a Payment Transfer

Contact your financial institution and ask for the paperwork to set up a recurring ACH transaction for your loan payments.

ACH stands for Automated Clearing House, a financial network that allows banks and credit unions to electronically transfer funds and send electronic payments.

Option 2: Use a non-AHCU Debit Card

You can give AHCU your debit card information and give us permission (“authorization”), in advance, to electronically withdraw money from your account on a recurring basis for your loan payments.

This is different from ACH or Bill Pay payments in which you give permission to your financial institution to SEND payments. With debit card transactions, you give your permission to AHCU to take the payments from your account.

Option 3: Use Bill Pay

Most financial institution have an online Bill Pay system you can use to set up recurring loan payments.

This is different from ACH transfers in that you set up and manage these payments entirely by yourself.

Option 4: AHCU Auto Transfers

If you have a checking or savings account at AHCU, you can use Online Banking to schedule automatic transfers from a selected checking or savings account to your loan.

Option 5: Coupon Book

If you wish to mail in your loan payments, you can request a complimentary coupon book by calling toll-free 1-877-241-8233.

A coupon book contains a "coupon" showing the date and amount of each payment, along with the mailing address for the payments. You can detach the each coupon and write a check for the amount shown, then mail it to the address noted.
