Meet the AHCU Board of Directors

These accomplished professionals generously contribute their time, expertise, and strategic insight to help ensure AHCU remains focused on serving the financial well-being of healthcare professionals and their families. Joe Clubb, MSW, LICSW | Board Chair
Vice President of Operations, Mental Health and Addiction, Allina Health
Joseph (Joe) R. Clubb, MSW, LICSW, is a senior healthcare executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience in mental health and addiction services. As Vice President of Operations for Mental Health and Addiction Services at Allina Health, he oversees a $500 million service line and leads more than 4,000 employees with a servant leadership philosophy grounded in compassion, accountability, and operational excellence.
Joe is recognized for transforming complex systems, improving patient outcomes, and advancing equitable access to care across Minnesota. His leadership has driven major innovations, including the rapid implementation of telehealth services during the pandemic, expansion of behavioral health capacity, and development of integrated mental health and addiction care models.
A committed mentor, educator, and advocate, Joe has served on numerous healthcare and nonprofit boards and contributes to statewide policy initiatives, including Nexus Family Healing, Mental Health Connect, Thrive Social Services, Guild Services, Governor’s Opioid Epidemic Response Advisory Council, the Mental Health Legislative Network; as well as teaching at the University of Minnesota and Augsburg University. Joe has served as Chair of the AHCU Board of Directors since 2022.
He holds degrees from the University of Minnesota and Saint John’s University and remains dedicated to changing and saving lives through accessible, compassionate care.
Candice Washington, MBA | Board Vice Chair
Director of Operations, Abbott-Northwestern Hospital
Candice Washington serves as the Director of Operations at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, overseeing hospital-wide operational strategies and patient service delivery. With an MBA from Bethel University, she has led major initiatives in campus renovation, workforce optimization, and service excellence.
A recognized leader in healthcare operations, she was named a “Women in Business” honoree by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal and serves as Vice Chair for the Board of Directors of Associated Healthcare Credit Union, reflecting her commitment to community-focused healthcare leadership. Candice was appointed as Vice Chair of AHCU’s Board in 2026.
Katina McDugle | Treasurer
Executive Administrative Assistant to Earl Newsome, Vice President, and Chief Information Officer, Cummins, Inc.
Katina McDugle is an experienced corporate professional at Cummins Inc., where she supports executive leadership in a global Fortune 500 manufacturing organization. With prior experience at Allina Health, she brings a strong background in healthcare operations, organizational support, and cross-functional coordination within complex systems.
Known for her contributions to workplace culture and employee engagement, including leadership in diversity and inclusion initiatives, McDugle offers a unique perspective shaped by both healthcare and corporate environments, with a focus on supporting high-performing teams and mission-driven organizations. Katina serves as Treasurer for AHCU’s Board.
Caroline Njau, MBA, BSN, RN, NEA‑BC | Director
Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer, Children’s Minnesota
Caroline Njau serves as Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer at Children’s Minnesota, where she leads system wide nursing practice and patient care operations across the organization’s two hospital campuses. Appointed in 2021, Njau brings more than 15 years of healthcare leadership experience, with deep expertise in hospital and nursing operations, workforce development, and care delivery transformations in complex care environments.
Prior to joining Children’s Minnesota, she held nursing leadership roles at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital and began her clinical career as a bedside nurse at Emory University Hospital. A board‑certified nurse executive with an MBA from the University of St. Thomas, Njau is widely recognized for her commitment to health equity, professional development, and supporting frontline caregivers—making her leadership perspective especially relevant to Associated Healthcare Credit Union, as it serves the financial well-being of healthcare professionals. Caroline joined AHCU’s Board in 2026.
Corrine Kroehler, MBA, | Director
Retired Healthcare Leader
Corrine Kroehler, MBA is a retired finance executive from Allina Health where she held senior leadership roles, including Vice President of Finance for the health system and Chief Financial Officer for Abbott Northwestern Hospital.
Over her career, she led systemwide financial planning, budgeting, and operational finance initiatives across a large, integrated health system. A Certified Public Accountant with deep expertise in healthcare finance, Kroehler has also served in interim executive roles and continues to contribute her financial leadership experience through board and committee service – including at Associated Healthcare Credit Union.
Lisa Kjentvet Anderson, MBA, CPA (inactive) | Director
Healthcare Leader
Lisa Kjentvet Anderson is a seasoned healthcare finance executive who most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of Hennepin Healthcare (HCMC). She joined HCMC in 2018 as Vice President of Finance, later advancing to Senior Vice President and ultimately CFO, overseeing financial planning, revenue cycle, payer contracting, and supply chain operations.
Prior to Hennepin Healthcare, Anderson held senior finance and audit leadership roles at Allina Health, including serving as a business unit CFO for Mercy and Unity hospitals and Vice President of Audit Services. With a career spanning health systems and health plans, she brings deep expertise in financial strategy, operational performance, and navigating complex healthcare environments. Lisa joined AHCU’s Board in 2025.
Linda Zdon | Secretary
Retired Healthcare Leader
Linda Zdon is a retired information technology leader from Allina Health, where she served in senior roles including Director of IT Audit Services, supporting one of the region’s largest healthcare systems. Over her career, she contributed to strengthening IT governance, risk management, and system integrity across complex clinical and operational environments.
With deep experience at the intersection of technology, compliance, and healthcare delivery, Zdon brings a valuable perspective on how digital infrastructure supports high‑reliability patient care and organizational resilience. For AHCU, she serves as Chair of the Technology Committee, as well as voting member of the ALM Committee.
